God’s Promises
God always responds to His word, therefore, we must know what His word says. The Bible proclaims: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14)
How do we get to know God’s will? Is it possible to know it? The answer is YES. We can know His will; we can get to know Him through His Word.
What is God’s will for the unsaved?
“God our Savior [...] wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4-5)
Does God rejoice with the death of the sinners?
“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?” (Ezekiel 18:23)
“‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live.” (Ezekiel 33:11)
Does God want and/or delights when people to go to hell?
“...He [God] is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
Is God unseekable?
“I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’
(Isaiah 65:1-2)
Will God reject me if I turn to Him?
“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.” (Zechariah 1:3)
“Come near to God and He will come near to you.” (James 4:8)
Is there a possibility of reconciliation between a sinner and God?

Does God want to forgive sinners?
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)
Would God lead sinners to His ways?
"Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways." (Psalm 25:8)
What is God’s will for the nations of the earth?
“This is what the Lord God says: I, the Lord, have called You [Jesus]to do what is right. I will take hold of your hand. I will protect you. I will appoint you as my promise to the people, as my light to the nations. You will give sight to the blind, bring prisoners out of prisons, and bring those who live in darkness out of dungeons.” (Isaiah 42:6)
Does God want people to stay yoked to evil spirits?

“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” (1 John 3:8)
Does God care about us?
Jesus said: “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:7)
Does God want to provide for our needs?
Jesus said: “And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” (Luke 12:29-31)
Will God give bad things to people when they pray?
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to
your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:9)
Would God deny to send His Holy Spirit to someone who asks for it?

Will God answer when I call unto Him?

and who will turn it back?” (Isaiah 14:27)
“My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.” (Isaiah 46:10)
“Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do
it.” (Isaiah 46:10)
Is there something difficult or impossible for God?
"...the Lord said to Abraham [...] Is anything too hard for the Lord?" (Genesis 18:14)
"Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." (Jeremiah 32:17)
Jesus said: "What is impossible for people, is possible with God." (Luke 18:27)
These are just a few of the many promises that God has given us in His Holy Word. Study them, memorize them and use them in your prayers. God’s word has power and He honors it.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
